TGIM

Thank God it's Monday.  I'm just realizing how grateful I am that I'm right here, right now in this place.  My heart goes out to all those affected by last Friday's tragedy in Japan.  Thanks and appreciation go to all the social media sites like Twitter, Facebook and Google for being a means of communication for families and loved ones looking for each other.

People can say what they want to about us being an instant society but right now because of this disaster, where would these folks be without this "instant" communication?  And yet the paradox is this:  it still takes human compassion to initiate and continue the recovery efforts.  There are human beings as well as our four-legged friends over in Japan right now from many countries relying on old-fashioned search and retrieval techniques ... sound, sight and smell.

Again, let's keep praying that it gets better soon.  We are all one.

Today's picture is one that's all about friendship.  It's Michele and James ... high school friends ... haven't seen each other in 18 years until yesterday.  Makes me cry.

Namaste!
