Losing Friends?

Whew!  What a day ... lots going on out there.  Weird energy.  I almost felt dizzy all day.  I just got an email from a friend who told me that someone she's known since she was 6 years old has blocked her emails and phone calls.  Why?  The one doing the blocking is a liberal and the one who got blocked is a conservative.  It's getting pretty wild and wicked, isn't it?

My response, when she told me that, included a question I learned a long time ago in an Al-Anon meeting:  "Would you rather be right or would you rather be happy?"  This question can apply to lots of situations.  And I've asked it many times of myself.  Sometimes we just have to ask our egos to go stand in the corner for a minute.

Communication is the most important thing in a relationship ... any relationship ... if it is to thrive.  They don't just work on auto-pilot.  Neale Donald Walsh in one of the Conversations with God books (can't remember which one now) says that all relationships are holy ground.  That resonates with me.  No one is perfect either!

Today's picture is one that I took a while back as I took my morning walk.  I think the sign is really funny.  Most say SPEED BUMP.  Our speed hump is really no different than any speed bump.  Weird!

Namaste!
