Casa de la Luz

Yesterday was the last session of my Healing Journeys grief support group, sponsored by Casa de la Luz Hospice, where my brother, Mike, died.  I have such mixed emotions about it.  The people in my group became my friends.  We have a common bond ... grief.  But the one thing I know for sure is that grief is a distinct journey for each person experiencing it.

Learning about the others in our group and the emotions they were feeling gave us all such strength in dealing with our own loss.  I'm so very glad I attended this group and made these new friends.  And our facilitator, Bonnie, is one of the most wonderful women I've ever met.  She has such a peace about her.

At least saying good-bye to my new friends isn't permanent.  I'm definitely looking forward to our reunion next month.

It's pretty clear to me that life is a dance.  It rises and falls just like a fox trot.  That's why I take pictures ... to capture the essence of the dance and the dancers ... and we are all dancers.

Today's picture:  "Short Pants"  My daughter's neighbor.  I didn't take this picture; I snagged it off of Facebook!  They call her short pants because she's growing so fast, all of her pants are getting too short.  Stay little for a while longer, little one.  You are beautiful, Short Pants!!!!

Namaste!
