Chicken was Good!

So last night I cooked the chicken recipe using chicken breast fillets, cream of mushroom soup (healthy variety), some sour cream and stuffing mix.  It was very good, moist and satisfying.  Served it with some fresh broccoli and it was a truly delicious meal.  The recipe is here.

This morning I attended the first session of Healing Journeys, sponsored by the hospice where my brother died.  Mike wasn't the type of person who wanted to make a long, arduous exit so he was in hospice for only 12 hours before he passed.

I must say that I found the group atmosphere and the facilitator to be excellent.  I would recommend this type of setting to anyone who needs some help getting through the grieving process.  I've learned that it's different for everyone.  There are days when I think I'm fine and then there are days when I feel like a blanket has been thrown over my face.  Meditation helps and also being out in nature.  That's just what works for me.  Like I said, it's probably different for everyone.

Another thing that helps me is my photography and writing.  I think each of us have to have something that allows our creativity to thrive.  And friends ... good friends ... like I am so blessed to have.  The picture below was taken the weekend that Mike died.  My friends happened to all be here in Tucson for our Happy Trails reunion ... coincidence?  I think not.  It was a God wink for sure.  Words can't express how precious my friends are to me.

Until next time ... God Bless You and Keep You
